Louis-Philippe Dumoulin: Well prepared for first oval race of the 2019 season
NASCAR Pinty's Series - Oval Circuit - APC 200
After a strong start to his 2019 season with a fighting fourth-place finish at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) road course in Bowmanville (ON), Louis-Philippe Dumoulin and the WeatherTech Canada | Groupe Bellemare team have been busy preparing for the second race of the NASCAR Pinty's season, using a test day to fine-tune his suspension setup for the oval track at Jukasa, near Hamilton (ON). NASCAR has organized an open practice session on Friday, May 30th, from 4pm to 7pm, a welcome initiative for all the teams.
Louis-Philippe Dumoulin will be ready to go at the Jukasa Motor Speedway this Saturday, June 1st, displaying his usual determination and perseverance in pursuit of the highest step of the podium. "Jukasa is a quick, fun track to race on, and the organization is always outstanding. We were able to test the new "General Tires" series tires on the track right after the first race at CTMP. As this will be our first race on an oval track with the new tires, things should be very interesting over race distance. Our team did well at Jukasa last year, especially some very emotional moments when we won the 2018 Championship at the conclusion of the last race of the season.
I am confident that we have the tools and the team to repeat that performance this year with our #47 WeatherTech Canada | Groupe Bellemare team. We will all keep up the intensity and the necessary pace to secure a strong podium finish with a win as a stretch target at Jukasa this coming weekend."
Jukasa Motor Speedway
"Jukasa is a legendary track that was the scene of memorable races over the decades between visiting NASCAR great such as Dale Earnhardt Senior and Rusty Wallace. The track's layout suits our driving style, with high speeds and some thrilling feedback in the corners. The layout is fast and offers good driving sensations, as well as imposing respect amongst the drivers to ensure a thrilling show for the fans," said the driver of the car #47 WeatherTech Canada | Groupe Bellemare car.
