WeatherTech Canada | Groupe Bellemare team on their way to Western Canada
Three events on oval tracks - July 24 and 27, 2019
The WeatherTech Canada | Groupe Bellemare team begins the NASCAR Pinty's Series annual visit to Western Canada for three races that bring us to the mid-season. Louis-Philippe Dumoulin will apply his race strategies and determination to the Wednesday, July 24, twin-125 races held at the Wyant Group Raceway oval circuit (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan). Three days later (Saturday, July 27), team #47 WeatherTech Canada | Groupe Bellemare will complete the three-race tour on the Edmonton International Raceway (Edmonton, Alberta). The objective of this arduous three-races-in-three-days endurance test far from home base is to accumulate the maximum number of points towards the championship.
Driver Louis-Philippe Dumoulin is well aware of the critical impact of this tour on the championship. "We had an excellent car at Autodrome Chaudiere, however, our race was shortened by an incident and we want to finish the job what we started. Strong finishes in the three races can make a huge difference in the points chase. I love both tracks, and our team always comes up with great set-ups and strategies adapted to the three sets of conditions we encounter. Championships are won by consistency and the entire WeatherTech Canada | Groupe Bellemare team is ready and focused," explains Louis-Philippe Dumoulin.
Velocity Prairie Thunder Twin 125s: Two 125-lap races
Pit stops, passing manoeuvres and race strategies will be adapted by drivers according to each event, with the two races in Saskatoon run a short 2h30 apart. The starting positions for the second Wyant Group Raceway event will be determined according to each driver's fastest lap in the first race, irrespective of his/her finishing position.
