Team #47 WeatherTech Canada | Groupe Bellemare came to Jukasa with the firm intention of consolidating their third place in the championship. Mission accomplished for Louis-Philippe Dumoulin who crossed the finish line in the top-10 on the last oval track of the 2019 season in the NASCAR Pinty's Series. Punctuated by success and unforeseen events, 2019 was nevertheless an exciting season where every team member rose to the challenge to achieve our season's successes: four podiums, including two wins and eight top-5s, and third place in the owners' championship, a most relevant achievement for the shop and trackside support team.
"A second straight title was our first goal, and as things turned out, third-place finishes in both championships demonstrates the efficiency of the WeatherTech Canada | Groupe Bellemare team as a whole. We have tried major changes to the settings for the last three tracks (all ovals) and we have not achieved the desired results. There is plenty of essential work to be done in preparation for 2020. I am proud of what the team accomplished to improve on- and off-track performance, especially when the pressure is at its maximum," explained Louis-Philippe Dumoulin.
"50 years behind the wheel": an historic year
We will all remember the magical moments at the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières (GP3R), with the Dumoulin brothers together on the podium, a sight people had been waiting to see for a long time. This happened on the 50th anniversary of the Dumoulin family on the track, and the 50th edition of the GP3R. Another major event for The Dumoulin clan was Dumoulin Competition, the eponymous race shop, moving into the car rental and preparation business for other drivers, as well as a hands-on development activity for young drivers through the Festidrag Développement program.

"The Dumoulin Corner" exhibit at the Gilles-Villeneuve Museum
On May 8th, 2018, the brothers Jean-François and Louis-Philippe Dumoulin proudly unveiled "The Dumoulin Corner" (L'Espace Dumoulin), an exhibit at the Gilles-Villeneuve Museum as part of the "50 Years at the Wheel" celebrations. Those who missed the exhibition last year can see it this year, along with the creations of Luc Pilon, who inspired the "50 Years" logo.
