"The Race Against Cancer": 14,442 Thank You's! - JF and LP Dumoulin appointed "Governor Member" of the Quebec Cancer Foundation

Last Friday (November 1), Jean-François and Louis-Philippe Dumoulin attended a Groupe Somavrac event to officially salute the $8,000.00 donation raised by the employees as part of their regular Friday "Jeans Day for the cause" program. This event is one of the activities of the "Grand défoulement à ma façon" campaign organized by Dumoulin Competition to benefit the Quebec Cancer Foundation. Dumoulin Competition handed a cheque for $14,442 to the Foundation representing all 2019 activities, the fourth year of the "Race Against Cancer" campaign. On October 28, the Dumoulin brothers had accepted on behalf of Dumoulin Competition their nomination as "Governor Member" in recognition of their "exceptional contribution and total commitment" to the cause since 2016.

"We [Groupe Somavrac] employees wish to honor all of those among us who have been affected by cancer in some way by contributing for the past four years, in our own way, to the Dumoulin's "Race Against Cancer" initiative. We are proud to have accomplished our goal this year as we contributed $8,000.00 to the Quebec Cancer Foundation for 2019, our best year so far! Thanks to Dumoulin Competition for this association, which is only just beginning!"- Groupe Somavrac employees.

Over the past four years, several individuals | companies | organizations have believed in our cause. Their efforts have met with great success, offering Quebecers with cancer and their loved ones an essential break in their daily caregiving activities. The efforts led by Dumoulin Competition have raised a total of $59,528.77 since 2016 in the "Race Against Cancer". Mere words cannot convey the thanks from everyone who was touched by our cause.

Luce Girard (Director, Centre régional et Hôtellerie de la Mauricie) highlighted the generosity of Dumoulin Competition: "Thanks to the solidarity of people such as the Dumoulin brothers, their teams and partners such as the Groupe Somavrac employees. This major contribution allows us to offer information, accommodations and support services to our communities in Mauricie, Centre-du-Québec and Lanaudière. We are proud of the collaboration with the Dumoulin brothers and the Groupe Somavrac!"

Governor Member"The active participation of everyone, and particularly the Groupe Somavrac with their brilliant "Jeans Day for the Cause" initiative is so much appreciated. We are proud to be the presidents of the fundraising campaign in the Mauricie region and to have been named "Governor Member". This year, we lost a member of the Dumoulin Competition team to cancer, which drove home to all of us how important our battle is. We will work hard to continue to raise as much money as possible, perhaps in a different way next year. It's a cause we care about and we're not giving up!", mentioned Jean-Francois and Louis-Philippe Dumoulin.
