LP DUMOULIN WILL BE REUNITED WITH QUEBEC'S RACING FANS THIS WEEKEND

june 21, 2017

3rd event of the NASCAR Pinty's series: Autodrome Chaudière
The #47 WeatherTech Canada/ Groupe Bellemare team is ready to go for the first event on oval track of the year taking place in front of Quebec racing fans. With the same usual determination and perseverance, Louis-Philippe Dumoulin will be present at Autodrome Chaudière (Friday June 23th , Vallée-Jonction, Québec), with the goal of climbing to the top of the podium.
The #47 WeatherTech Canada/ Groupe Bellemare car is fast, and the Quebec native driver is hoping to find success this weekend. "Last year, we qualified for third place and in 2014, we finished the race in fifth. We're confident we can lead the race and fight for the win. This being the first race of the season in Quebec, it's particularly motivating to compete in front of our fans, friends, and family. We're really eager", highlights the series' 2014 champion.
"CRS Trucking 300" : mandatory pit stop halfway through
Much like the Riverside International Speedway track (Antigonish, Nouvelle-Écosse, 10th event- August 19, 2017), which is considered a near-replica of the famous Bristol Motor Speedway (Bristol, Tennessee, USA), the Autodrome Chaudière is nicknamed "Le petit Bristol Québécois" (the little Bristol of Quebec). This asphalted oval track (a quarter mile) is also the most steeply inclined in Quebec.
The pits are located outside the track, requiring a full stop of the race planned by the series at approximately the 150th lap. The drivers are also authorized to make pit stops at any point during the race; however, it's an extra challenge as all teams will need to make a simultaneous pit stop for fuel replenishment and the tire change. The cars will then get back into place for the race's second start.
See you at Autodrome Chaudière! "This oval track is popular in stock-car in Quebec. It'll be a good show for partners and fans alike, we have quite a show planned!" shares the driver of the #47 Dodge WeatherTechCanada / Groupe Bellemare.

Following up on the success of the 2016 fundraiser, Dumoulin Competition renews its vow to support an important cause: the Grand défoulement of the Quebec Cancer Foundation. The winning formula seen last year will continue to be supported by the Dumoulin brothers, who once again invite fans to come to any race of the NASCAR Pinty's season to sign their car for the cause.
