LP DUMOULIN ON THIRD STEP OF THE PODIUM AT EDMONTON
Team #47 WeatherTech Canada | Groupe Bellemare was back on the podium yesterday at the Edmonton International Raceway. The cancellation of the qualifying session put Louis-Philippe Dumoulin in fifth place for the start, according to the time he set during the rain-shortened morning practice session. Louis-Philippe Dumoulin hung on to third or second position for the duration of the race, fighting off serious attacks in six restarts over the 275-lap race distance, when the race was finally called off by the officials because of persistent rain.
"We are satisfied with third place under the circumstances. The car was competitive, despite a slight understeer that I was able to compensate for by modifying my race line on corner entries. The last 25 laps would have been interesting as I had a little something in hand to attack the leader [Andrew Ranger] for the win at the end, but the rain killed that plan. The trip out West was good for us, thanks in great part to our crew. With a win, a third and a fourth-place finish, the WeatherTech Canada | Groupe Bellemare team collected valuable points for the championship. We are at the mid-point of our season and it is important that we continue to race at the front of the pack and score as many points as possible at each race," concluded Louis-Philippe Dumoulin.
The driver of #47 WeatherTech Canada | Groupe Bellemare once again demonstrated his professionalism and the ability of Dumoulin Competition to prepare race-winning cars every time out.
