LOUIS-PHILIPPE DUMOULIN: SOLID PERFORMANCE AND AN ABRUPT END

june 30, 2019

Oval track - Autodrome Chaudiere - Budweiser 300

Louis-Philippe Dumoulin and his teammates on the #47 WeatherTech Canada | Groupe Bellemare race car left nothing at the Autodrome Chaudiere track today. For his 100th NASCAR Pinty's series race, the Quebecer set the quickest time in practice, and started from second place on the grid, then followed up by taking the lead and dominating the race for 115 of the 285-lap event. With his usual determination, he was able to push back the many assaults of the competitors along the way. On lap 271, Louis-Philippe Dumoulin saw his race end abruptly when he was involved in an incident caused by a fellow racer.

"We had an excellent car. We led for most of the race until Raphael joined us and then ran side-by-side for a few laps. I was happy to see that our two cars were at the front of the pack. In the second part of the race, we lost positions and had to fight in traffic with slower and more impatient competitors. The incident at the end with one of them caused significant damage to our #47 WeatherTech Canada | Groupe Bellemare car and did not allow me to finish the race," explained Louis-Philippe Dumoulin.

Louis-Philippe Dumoulin marked an important milestone in his career today by participating in his 100th NASCAR Pinty's Series race. He and his brother Jean-François built a company specialized in the preparation and management of racing cars, Dumoulin Competition, which offers the most efficient professional services in the series. Moreover, the victorious car driven by Raphael Lessard today was prepared by the specialists at Dumoulin Competition.

Next race: Honda Indy of Toronto - July 12 and 13
On July 12 and 13, brothers Jean-François and Louis-Philippe Dumoulin will be back on track at the Toronto Indy event. Montreal driver and newcomer to the Pinty's Series Jean-Frédéric Laberge will also drive a car prepared by Dumoulin Competition in Toronto, his second road course event ever in a Pinty's car as he worked his way up to the Top-10 pack of Pinty's Series drivers.

A TEAM SUCCESS!

"The race against cancer" would not be on the podium without everyone contributing to the program. This weekend, we would like to recognize the generosity of our fans towards the "Grand Défoulement à ma façon" campaign for the benefit of the Quebec Cancer Foundation. We also wish to thank Raphael Lessard, who joined the movement and invited fans to sign the trunk of his race car and confirm their support. In fact, the efforts of Raphael raised $ 535,00 for the Foundation on race day. To contribute online, go to: The race against cancer
