Louis-Philippe Dumoulin and the #47 WeatherTech Canada | Groupe Bellemare team made the most of Saturday's practice session by posting the fastest time. A combination of rain and strong mid-afternoon winds forced officials to cancel qualifying, giving our driver pole position for the Ebay Motors 200.

The race started on a wet track and the #47 WeatherTech Canada | Groupe Bellemare car was performing well. Pit stops went off properly and Louis-Philippe Dumoulin was second when he ran out of fuel with only a few laps to go in the race.

"It's very disappointing. Right from the start, we changed our race line in corners on the wet course to get better traction and everything was going well. Towards the end, Kevin Lacroix and I were leading the race at a good race pace and I was looking forward with confidence to the last restart and the end of the race. Unfortunately, we had miscalculated the amount of fuel required to run the whole race and ran out. I was pushed back to the pits, we added fuel and I got back on track at the back of the lead pack for the restart. I was now passing slower cars left and right, and was on the outside of corner 3 when two slower cars tangled and pushed me off the track. I got back on track again and was able to get back to the front of the race.

It's not so bad: even if we did not get the finish we wanted, we were the quickest on the track, a car capable of winning. We are not giving up! We are grateful to our valued partners and fans and will come back stronger for sure."

Practice session

"The Saturday practice session went well. The car was quick for one lap and our goal now is to improve our suspension setup for qualifying. We all know how important this weekend is, especially after the disappointing result at Sunset Speedway: we need to build our championship points tally, and I know that the WeatherTech Canada | Groupe Bellemare team never gives up. The pit stop strategy will be crucial in order to take advantage of every opportunity," explained Louis-Philippe Dumoulin.
