LOUIS-PHILIPPE DUMOULIN PUTS ON A SHOW AND MAKES THE PODIUM
The first podium of the season with the Spectra Premium NSCR100 radiator
The WeatherTech Canada / Bellemare Group #47 team finished in a spectacular third (3rd) place earlier today on the quarter-mile high-banked oval of the Autodrome Chaudière. Veteran driver Louis-Philippe Dumoulin never relaxed, charging past those in front of him up to a fighting second (2nd) place on lap 235, after starting from fifth (5th) spot on the grid. Along the way, LP had to recover from a lap-235 spin after a bump from a fellow driver. He also fought off hard challenges from the lap-299 restart to the finish on lap 310.
Third quickest during the earlier practice sessions, Louis-Philippe's fifth-quickest time in qualifying had convinced him and the team that his car set-up made it a potential winner in race trim over the 310-lap race. Louis-Philippe Dumoulin was riding high after the race: "I am very proud of what our team has accomplished. Their hard work gave me a winning car and we all realized this after qualifying. The race was hard fought and clean throughout, usually against two or three cars at the same time", explain the driver of the WeatherTech Canada / Bellemare Group #47 car.
"We were in a position to win when I restarted from the outside lane on the last restart. I decided to go for the win rather than settle for a good points finish, and just missed out right at the chequered flag. We are fourth (4th) in the driver championship with 10 races to go, and right in there for a win and a strong run at the driver title.''
The first podium of the season with the Spectra Premium NSCR100 radiator
A great day for Spectra Premium Motorsport and for Louis-Philippe Dumoulin and his team, who scored their first podium of 2017 in the NASCAR Pintys Series, the premier Stock Car racing series in Canada. Quite an accomplishment!
"It was a great day for the Spectra Premium Motosport and for Louis-Philippe Dumoulin, a podium finish in the highly competitive NASCAR Pinty's Series is a real achievement. We designed and manufactured the Spectra Premium NSCR100 radiator and conducted on-track testing with the team during the off season, achieving a podium finish in only the third race of the year is truly a great accomplishment", said Jason Best, Senior Vice-President, Spectra Premium. "At Spectra Premium we are all extremely proud and wish to congratulate Louis-Philippe Dumoulin for his great on-track performance and the WeatherTech Canada / Bellemare Group #47 crew for providing LP with a winning car; together this group is a true testament to teamwork, perseverance and trust."

The NASCAR Pinty's race held today at Autodrome Chaudiere, launch the project for the Quebec Cancer Foundation (QCF). The response from the spectators and the teams was immediate, the trunk were covered with names and motivated encouragements as they were last year. Over $ 280.00 were collected, a great start towards equalling last years total of $ 13,611.75. This is obviously a great cause, as each 100 dollars collected pay for QCF one night stay in the foundations hotel.
