LOUIS-PHILIPPE DUMOULIN ON TRACK AT NEW HAMPSHIRE MOTOR SPEEDWAY

Team #47 WeatherTech Canada | Groupe Bellemare will compete for the second time at an event outside Canada, on the New Hampshire Motor Speedway oval circuit during the "Visit New Hampshire 100" on September 20 and 21, near Loudon, New Hampshire, USA. With eight top-5s, including two wins and four podiums, Louis-Philippe Dumoulin will tackle the race with his usual determination.
"Car #47 WeatherTech Canada | Groupe Bellemare is ready, we did our homework to make up for last year's handling issues. The team has come up with improved settings across the board, and we have been performing well on oval tracks throughout the season. We are confident that we will be part of the lead pack again this weekend," explained Louis-Philippe Dumoulin.
Particularities of the New Hampshire Motor Speedway track
Built in 1960, the Bryar Motorsports Park road course hosted motorcycle and motorcycle races at all levels until the 1990, when the small track was replaced by a 1,058-mile oval track to attract NASCAR and its popular Winston Cup races. Originally designed according to Indianapolis' layout with four distinct corners, the new track was renovated in 1992 to create a safer track with 180-degree continuous corners, keeping cars more parallel to the walls in the corners. The track has 1 degree of banking on the straightaways and 12 degrees in the corners, similar to road courses and leading drivers to use a hybrid driving technique and suspension set-ups.

On May 8th, 2018, the brothers Jean-François and Louis-Philippe Dumoulin proudly unveiled "The Dumoulin Corner" (L'Espace Dumoulin), an exhibit at the Gilles-Villeneuve Museum as part of the "50 Years at the Wheel" celebrations. Those who missed the exhibition last year can see it this year, along with the creations of Luc Pilon, who inspired the "50 Years" logo.
