LOUIS-PHILIPPE DUMOULIN ON THE ROAD TO WESTERN CANADA

july 20, 2017

NASCAR Pinty's series: 6th, 7th, and 8th events of the season

The #47 WeatherTech Canada/ Groupe Bellemare team will fly to Western Canada this Monday, where it'll take part in the next three events of the NASCAR Pinty's championship. Synonymous with success for Louis-Philippe Dumoulin, this mid-season moment is more than appreciated by the Quebec driver. The first stop on the oval track of the Wyant Group Raceway (July 26 - Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) will make way for an additional challenge. Contrary to previous years, Louis-Philippe Dumoulin will have to face his rivals over the course of two distinct, 100-lap events instead of one. The Western Canada tour will then conclude with a race at the Edmonton International Raceway (July 29 - Edmonton, Alberta).

New for 2017

Pit stops and overtaking moves, among others, will need to be thought out differently given the one-day three-race schedule, all on oval tracks. The Saskatoon event is run on a tight schedule, with only 2 hours and 30 minutes between the races, leaving little time for repairs of any first-race damage. The starting grid for the second race at the Wyant Group Raceway will be determined by each driver's fastest lap from the first race.

For Louis-Philippe Dumoulin, the #47 WeatherTech Canada/ Groupe Bellemare team must plan every activity carefully throughout the week in order to best cope with any eventuality. "The important thing is to make sure the car hasn't been damaged and to react properly between the two races. This is especially true this year, as the new schedule means that we are losing a day of preparation between Saskatoon and Edmonton. This heightens pressure on the team, putting an emphasis on our team's internal synergy and efficiency, and we're confident we can outdo ourselves," explains the driver currently ranked third in the championship.

An Unmissable Event

Autograph session at Delta Bessborough - Saskatoon, Saskatchewan - July 24, 2017

Jean-François and Louis-Philippe Dumoulin will participate in an autograph session organized by his partner, the Delta Bessborough, on July 24 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. The #04 Spectra Premium/ Bernier Crépeau / Groupe Bellemare /MIA and the #47 WeatherTech Canada / Groupe Bellemare hauler and cars will also be on-site.
