LOUIS-PHILIPPE DUMOULIN FINISHES IN 6th AND 5th IN SASKATOON
The #47 WeatherTech Canada / Groupe Bellemare team crossed the finish line in sixth and fifth place, respectively, on the Wyant Group Raceway (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) yesterday. Qualified in ninth place for the two 100-lap events, Louis-Philippe Dumoulin fought relentlessly with his adversaries, notably during restarts on the outside, in order to maintain his place.
Two races in the same night was a first for the teams of the NASCAR Pinty's series. Every driver was in an aggressive mode for the first 100 laps, in order to score the best time possible for the second event.
"This 100-lap race format doesn't put us at an advantage since the settings are efficient in the long run. Furthermore, in both races, we were often positioned on the outside of the track, and this racing line is not adequate, forcing us to continuously fight to gain places. For the second race, we had the car to climb the podium, it's encouraging for the race in Edmonton this weekend", explains the driver of the #47 WeatherTech Canada / Groupe Bellemare car.
This Saturday, the #47 WeatherTech Canada / Groupe Bellemare team will hit the track for the last event in Western Canada. Join us on July 29th at 7:30 PM for the green flag at the Edmonton International Raceway.
