First race for JF Dumoulin at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway

New Hampshire Motor Speedway - September 22nd, 2018

Jean-François Dumoulin and his #04 Spectra Premium | Bernier Crépeau Chrysler Fiat | Groupe Bellemare | MIA team members have been looking forward to the first NASCAR Pinty's Series race held outside Canada, on the New Hampshire Motor Speedway (Loudon, New Hampshire, United States) 1.058-mile oval this coming weekend (September 21 - 22). As always, the team has set the highest goals possible for this unique event on a high-speed oval, the penultimate race of the 2018 season.

"We are all happy to finally be headed for the famous New Hampshire Motor Speedway oval, a first for the #04 Spectra Premium | Bernier Crépeau Chrysler Fiat | Groupe Bellemare | MIA team on such a track. We are certainly due for a good finish on an oval track after improving our performance level on such track throughout the season. I was comfortable at the quickest oval we raced on this year, Jukasa, and I expect that we will quickly transfer our knowledge to the quicker mile-long track, as I am comfortable at higher speeds from my road racing experience," concluded the eager and confident driver, Jean-François Dumoulin.

New Hampshire Motor Speedway

Created in 1960 as Bryar Motorsport Park, a pure road course for car and motorbike racing, the track was replaced by a 1.058-mile oval in 1990, to bring NASCAR oval racing to New England. Originally modelled after Indianapolis with four distinct corners, the track corners were reshaped in 1992 into the more classic and safer long continuous corners at each end of the track. The 1.058-mile track (1 679 meters) has 1 degree of banking on the straights and 12 degrees of banking in the corners, close enough to regular roads to use a mix of oval and road racing driving techniques and offering a new set-up challenge to drivers and teams on their first race at the track.

Jean-Francois Dumoulin, a road racer from the start of his career, will make use of his knowledge on both types of track to get the most out of his car's potential, a show that will be fun to watch.
