A challenging first experience on the Magic Mile

NASCAR Pinty's Series: Race 12 - Oval track - New Hampshire Motor Speedway - September 22nd, 2018

The #47 WeatherTech Canada | Groupe Bellemare team made good use of strategy and perseverance to remain at the top of the race for the 2018 Championship today. Starting eight on the grid, Louis-Philippe Dumoulin kept up a steady pace that made the most of the car's potential, fighting hard to defend his position in the race before finishing a well deserved top-8 at the end. He managed his driving with respect for other drivers during an intense skirmish with his main rival for the Championship crown, without ever touching his opponent over the last 30 laps of the race, a typical behaviour for the gentleman that he is on and off the track.

Two practice sessions on Friday, lasting respectively 60 and 90 minutes, allowed Louis-Philippe Dumoulin to learn the ideal lines on the track, while the team was working hard to optimize car set-up for this high speed 1,058-mile track, with it's almost flat (12 degrees) corners. All that work by the #47 WeatherTech Canada | Groupe Bellemare team paid off with a much-improved car for qualifying and for the race.

"The #47 WeatherTech Canada | Groupe Bellemare car was coming into its own as the race went on, as Louis-Philippe Dumoulin could come inside the other cars entering the corners. It would certainly have been easy to « make room » to pass, but the driver chose the high road, preferring to wait for a better opening and a clean pass. We are already working towards next season, while also preparing for the last race and our run for this year's championship," concluded Louis-Philippe Dumoulin.

Last race of the season: Jukasa Motor Speedway (September 29th, 2018)

After visiting eight ovals and four road courses, here we are at the last race of the season, with all the action and total commitment from everyone on the team that we lived through over the twelve previous races. Drivers enjoy racing at Jukasa Motor Speedway (formerly Cayuga Speedway), where NASCAR stars such as Dale Earnhardt, Bobby Allison and more recently Tony Stewart and Matt Kenseth visited the track regularly to take on the local fast guys. The track closed in 2009, and local businessmen Kenny Hill and Jerry Montour took over the property in 2016 and transformed it into one of the best oval facilities in the country (Source: http://nas.cr/2u4hPWK). The smooth, quick track always produces an exciting race for the spectators as well as for the drivers.
