A fifth place finish for Jean-François Dumoulin in Jukasa

Spectra Premium's NSCR100 Radiator Concludes Its Introductory Year in Auto Racing with Three Podiums and Eleven Top-Five Finishes

Yesterday on the Jukasa Motor Speedway oval, Jean-François Dumoulin, starting from 17th place, worked his way to the front of the pack in the #04 Spectra Premium / Bernier Crépeau / Groupe Bellemare / MIA car. Despite difficulties during the practice and qualifying sessions, the car improved in the last third of the 200-lap event, enabling Jean-François to complete several laps in second place. Jean-François fought determinedly among the leaders until a slow leak in the front right tire forced him to surrender several positions, but shrewd driving skills and strong resolve enabled him to defend his fifth-place finish.

By midday Saturday, the #04 Spectra Premium / Bernier Crépeau/ Groupe Bellemare / MIA team had modified most of the car's settings due to considerable understeer. Additionally, during practice, Jean-François' car sustained damage to the front left side when two competitors illegally made contact with the car as they exited pit lane.

"The #04 Spectra Premium / Bernier Crépeau / Groupe Bellemare / MIA team did exemplary work today. We came a long way; the pit stops were efficient and determination was present on every level. It was a competitive field and I am proud to have been able to compete with the race leaders, including my brother, Louis-Philippe," said Jean-François Dumoulin. "The punctured tire slowed our pace just a few laps from the end when the podium was within our reach, but the team and I are pleased with our performance, it's a good way to end the season."

The high-performance NSCR100 radiator is the result of a close collaboration between two teams, Dumoulin Compétition and Spectra Premium. It optimizes airflow, thereby improving on-track engine and overall car performance," said Jason Best, Spectra Premium's Senior Vice-President, Aftermarket. "We are very proud of the performance of the NSCR100 radiator in its first year of competition in the NASCAR Pinty's Series."

THE MAIN CHARACTERISTICS OF THE NSCR100 RADIATOR

  • Full aluminum radiator, using optimal balanced material thickness to minimize weight.
  • Heavy gauge tubes for increased durability.
  • Reinforced first rows of tubes to increase mechanical resistance without compromising coolant flow.
  • The oil cooler, also made of aluminum, is incorporated in the radiator's tank, eliminating any additional weight, as well as extra hoses and connections, which frees up space under the hood of the car.
  • The design includes anchor points, which allow for installation and removal of the radiator in a faster and more efficient way (special tools are no longer necessary) all while allowing inclination of the radiator in the desired angle for optimized air flow.
  • Robust installation of the radiator on the shroud, using quick connectors as used in planes and high-performance race cars.
  • Integrated lightweight fan brackets allowing a secure and robust installation of a wide range of electric fans with minimal airflow restriction.
  • A standard threaded insert system for quick and reliable fan installation.
  • A universal connection inlet port offering painless customization of the coolant hose circuit, based on each racing team's needs.
  • Radiator vent relocation to avoid damages in the event of a light frontal collision
